The Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor is a two-door police muscle car manufactured by Bravado set to appear in Grand Theft Auto VI. As the law enforcement variant of the Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire, it combines high-performance muscle car characteristics with police-exclusive modifications, serving as a high-speed pursuit vehicle for the highway patrol in the State of Leonida.
The Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor is a high-performance emergency vehicle confirmed to return in Grand Theft Auto VI. First seen in the game's debut trailer, the vehicle functions as a state trooper car for a highway patrol agency. Its role appears to be focused on high-speed highway pursuits and responses, leveraging the power of its muscle car chassis. The Interceptor is the law enforcement version of the civilian Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire, sharing its core design and performance heritage while being outfitted for police duty.
In Grand Theft Auto VI, the Gauntlet Interceptor is depicted as a state trooper vehicle featuring a distinctive black-and-tan two-tone livery, seemingly inspired by the real-world Florida Highway Patrol. It Features what appears to be the Seal of Leonida on the trunk, along with yellow markings on the front fenders. Emergency equipment includes interior lights above the front windshield and a traffic advisor lightbar on the rear parcel shelf, rather than the standard roof-mounted light bar.
The vehicle's primary design is based on the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon1. Its police-specific modifications are inspired by several real-life and fictional Dodge Challenger police cars, including those used by the Broward County Sheriff's Office2, the Florida Highway Patrol3, and the Texas Highway Patrol4. The steel wheels are directly inspired by the Mopar Police Pursuit Wheel5.
Specific performance details for the Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor in Grand Theft Auto VI are not yet available. However, based on its appearance in Grand Theft Auto Online, it is expected to be a high-performance vehicle. In GTA Online, the Interceptor shares many traits with the Gauntlet Hellfire, including an impressive top speed and powerful acceleration. It is significantly heavier than its civilian counterpart, which aids in ramming and disabling other vehicles during pursuits. It is powered by a V8 engine that drives the rear wheels.
In GTA Online, a fully upgraded Gauntlet Interceptor can reach a top speed of 196.34 km/h (122.00 mph).
In Grand Theft Auto VI, the Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor has been shown in use by a highway patrol agency in the State of Leonida. Two of the vehicles can be seen attending to an overturned car on a busy highway in the first trailer. It is presumed that players will be able to acquire the vehicle by stealing it from law enforcement officers.
While exact usage for the Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor in Grand Theft Auto VI is not yet confirmed, its high-speed performance and reinforced build suggest it could be highly effective as a pursuit or getaway vehicle if obtained by the player.
The Bravado Gauntlet Interceptor was introduced in Grand Theft Auto Online with the The Chop Shop update, released alongside the Cluckin' Bell Farm Raid event. Players can purchase it from Warstock Cache & Carry for 5,420,000 GTA$. A trade price of 4,065,000 GTA$ is available after completing the mission "Scene of the Crime" as a leader. Post-update, the character Vincent Effenburger is shown using a Gauntlet Interceptor as his personal vehicle.
