After recent news about Red Dead Online's teased summer DLC arriving next week, it's about time that Rockstar Games shows some love to Grand Theft Auto Online as well, with fans starved out for that summer car meet DLC we've been hearing so much about.
As for this week's bonuses, we get some new maps alongside the usual crop of rewards and discounts.
Rockstar let slip some extra information about the car meet DLC, albeit not a lot, and in visual form — we have an official screenshot from the update, showing unsurprisingly a car meet. Not even the most diligent clue seekers will likely find anything of note by combing the screenshot pixel by pixel. That said, there are some new vehicles on display, the names of which are not yet known.
Stay tuned for more info though — if Red Dead Online: Blood Money drops next week, we suspect this update won't be far behind.
In the meantime, there is some brand new content that you can sink your teeth into right now — no waiting needed. To help tide players over until the release of the big summer update, Rockstar has added 7 new Survival maps to GTA Online with some extra incentive to play: all matches are paying out double rewards, and trying out any of the new maps nets you a tidy GTA$ 100,000 bonus.
If you are looking for some variety to shake up your gaming routine, look no further than Freemode Events — these fast and loose competitions are the definition of variety, and aside of offering fun involving most of GTA Online's mechanics, they're also paying out triple GTA$ and RP all week long.
