Kowalski is a fictional luxury retail brand featured in Grand Theft Auto VI. Known for high-end jewelry, fashion accessories, and decorative crystals, the brand is positioned as a symbol of upscale consumerism within the game’s setting of Leonida. It serves as a tongue-in-cheek parody of the real-life Austrian luxury brand Swarovski1
Kowalski is portrayed as a sleek, high-end retailer that caters to the stylish and the status-obsessed. It’s a perfect example of how the Grand Theft Auto series pokes fun at modern culture. This time, zeroing in on luxury brands and society’s obsession with wealth and status.
Little is known about the brand’s reach or backstory, but its spot in a shopping mall (based on the sign seen in the first official trailer) suggests it’s a well-known name in the world of Leonida, especially among those with deep pockets or a taste for sparkle.
The Kowalski logo, seen briefly in the first GTA VI trailer, features a refined, minimalist aesthetic. Its clean typography heavily resembles Swarovski’s branding, with just enough of a twist to make it unmistakably satirical.
Kowalski appears to offer a variety of high-end products, including fine jewelry, luxury fashion accessories, decorative crystals, and statement pieces. While there’s no direct look at its merchandise yet, the brand’s parody roots suggest those are likely to be the products sold by them.
As of now, Kowalski has only been spotted on mall signage in Waning Sands, a coastal town in Leonard County. This appearance was part of a larger shopping center scene in the first trailer for GTA VI, where it shared billboard space with other in-universe brands like Alpha, Callus, and Fernando Tucci. Any additional locations, advertisements, or in-game appearances have yet to be revealed.
Kowalski is a parody of Swarovski, the iconic Austrian brand known for high-end crystals and jewelry.
The brand name "Kowalski," a common Polish surname, adds a layer of humor by contrasting with the refined, vaguely European branding style it's emulating.
It is one of eight businesses featured on the shopping mall signage in Waning Sands, hinting at Rockstar’s broader satire of consumer culture and the luxury goods market.

Market Mover
Rockstar has reportedly turned its studios into an information black hole, feeding developers fake info to trap leakers. It's working so well that the biggest insiders are publicly tapping out. Will this "Iron Curtain" successfully hold back the floodgates until the Summer marketing blitz, or will someone risk their career to leak the goods?
