One of the few games able to stir the water around GTA V, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was one of the most anticipated releases last year. Though to a lesser extent than Fallout 4, it stole a bit of the spotlight from GTA V for a week or so. The Metal Gear franchise has a highly dedicated fan-base, who have been armed with pitchforks since the rift between Konami and Kojima. Based on previous cross-over fan content, it is safe to say that large portions of GTA V's and Metal Gear's audience overlap.
There have been previous adaptations of Metal Gear to GTA V's Rockstar Editor, the versatile gameplay recording and video editing suite developed specifically for the game.
