Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is currently the best-selling PS5 game with over 11 million units sold, but if you ask Sony, the official title holder has yet to even be released. It doesn't take an expert to know that they're probably referring to Grand Theft Auto 6. In a recent BBC News interview largely focused on dismissing any immediate PS6 plans, PlayStation's senior vice president of marketing, sales, and business operations Eric Lempel shed light on what to expect from the PS5 going forward.

According to Lempel, despite the PS5 already hosting several multi-million-selling titles over its five-year lifespan, the console's best-selling game hasn't even hit store shelves yet. Not a lot of competitors are realistically floating around - at least as far as ones we know about go - so naturally the fandom in its characteristic furor jumped to the conclusion that this is alluding to GTA 6.
