Rockstar rolls out GTA Online update packed with anniversary freebies

Rockstar Games consistently delivers fresh content to GTA Online to keep its player base engaged. The action-packed online multiplayer game has just received its most recent update as part of what it feels like a month-long celebration of a significant milestone, the tenth anniversary of GTA 5 and GTA Online.

Last year was a roller-coaster for Rockstar and the Grand Theft Auto franchise. It saw the first official recognition of the much-anticipated GTA 6. To add to the excitement, significant leaks exposed portions of the upcoming game, which Rockstar later confirmed as genuine. But while fans await further news on that front, they are keep diving into the world of Los Santos to see the newest offerings in the game.

Keeping with the tradition of weekly updates, which often bring in new content, Rockstar hasn't disappointed with its September 21 update.

This particular update carries more weight as it's part of the festivities marking a decade of GTA 5 and GTA Online. Last week, players witnessed the introduction of a new ride, the Bravado Hotring Hellfire. Though the vehicle remains in the game this week, no new cars have been added.

All in all, the latest GTA Online update has provided more opportunities for players to boost their in-game wealth. The Cayo Perico Heist continues to be the mission with the highest payout. Players looking to maximize their earnings can engage in a variety of activities, as several of them offer 2x-3x GTA$ & RP, making it an excellent week for those aiming to grind.

A special nod to GTA 5's iconic trio, Michael, Franklin, and Trevor, sees players gifted with outfits and weapon finishes inspired by them. Those who play will also receive an Alpine Hat in a nod to Oktoberfest.

Despite the expansive offerings, the update has not been without its share of criticism, aimed at the lack of GTA 6 news.

Still, as Rockstar continues its celebration of a decade of GTA Online, fans remain eager to see what other surprises are in store in the coming weeks.
