Given Cook's history with the franchise and his expertise when it comes to doing voice work, it's possible Rockstar Games has brought him back if only for a minor role. After all, at this late in the game's development, it's highly unlikely that Rockstar hired Cook to voice a character with a significant in-game role, like the still-to-be-named male protagonist, for example.
Of course, we could be wrong and Cook could've been hired to work on GTA 6 a long time ago and he could indeed be the voice of one-half of the upcoming game's dual protagonists. Cook is the latest celebrity to tease their involvement in GTA 6 in recent months. Earlier this year, there were speculations that Miami-based personality DJ Khaled had been hired by Rockstar as a radio host in the game.
Part of what has made GTA so immersive in every iteration is the lengths Rockstar goes to recreate conversations that take place in real life. The list of unconfirmed voice actors for GTA 6 so far does prove that the highly anticipated sequel will continue this tradition. We're looking forward to hearing Dusty Crophopper's voice in Vice City, whether it's used on a passing bystander, a guest on a podcast that you'll listen to while driving around Leonida, or maybe as a memorable side character.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently in development with a fall 2025 release window. Rockstar India is currently hiring game testers in what many believe is a sign of the game's development. Take-Two Interactive is also expected to ramp up its marketing efforts for GTA 6 in the next fiscal year as evidenced by their increased budget.
