The PS5 Pro has been waiting 19 months for a game that justifies its price tag. GTA 6 is the only candidate left. If Rockstar delivers 60fps on PS5 Pro while the base PS5 stays at 30, Sony finally has a showcase. If both consoles run the game identically, the $900 Pro becomes the most expensive way to play the same game everyone else is playing. Sony reportedly delayed the PS6 partly to let GTA 6 carry this generation. The frame rate decision is now the bet that defines the hardware.
