The Diamond Casino Heist in GTA Online offers varying payouts based on the vault's contents, with diamonds being the rarest and most profitable. Factors like the chosen approach, crew member cuts, and damage taken during the heist impact the final take. Maximizing the take requires careful planning and a skilled hacker, whose cut buys the team more time inside the vault.
Maximum Potential Payouts & Vault Contents
The vault target, difficulty, first-week state, crew cuts, Lester's 5% cut, and damage taken all affect the final amount.
Rockstar confirms that Title Update 1.73 added a weekly completion bonus to the Diamond Casino Heist Finale, with lower rewards for later completions in the same weekly period.1 Rockstar does not publish every current Casino Heist payout, so we keep the figures below up to date using our Heist Earnings Calculator and checks against the game.
The table below shows repeat-run Normal values before cuts and take loss. Hard Mode adds 10%.
First completion after weekly reset
- Cash: GTA$2,753,730 on Normal; GTA$3,029,103 on Hard
- Artwork: GTA$3,059,700 on Normal; GTA$3,365,670 on Hard
- Gold: GTA$3,365,670 on Normal; GTA$3,702,237 on Hard
- Diamonds: GTA$4,283,580 on Normal; GTA$4,711,938 on Hard
Only the first Casino finale completed after the weekly reset receives the higher payout. Later Casino runs use the repeat values.
Casino Heist Repeat Payouts
Vault Contents | Repeat Payout (Normal) |
|---|---|
Cash | GTA$1,480,500 |
Artwork | GTA$1,645,000 |
Gold | GTA$1,809,500 |
Diamonds | GTA$2,303,000 |
Normal-difficulty vault values for repeat completions after Title Update 1.73, before cuts and take loss.
Note that the first time you do the heist you will always get cash, and on subsequent attempts you might get artwork, gold or diamonds. It's preferable to get artwork over cash not only because you earn more, but the paintings themselves are actually easier / faster to loot. As you can see in the table above, gold and finally diamonds are easily the most profitable types of loot though.
Loot Type Probability
Casino Vault Loot Rarity
Vault Loot | Rarity / Probability |
|---|---|
Cash | Very common |
Artwork | Somewhat common |
Gold | Rare |
Diamonds | Very rare / event driven |
Relative availability of each vault target; Rockstar can enable diamonds for limited events.
Rockstar has not published permanent percentages for the four vault targets. In our runs, cash appears most often, followed by artwork and gold, while diamonds are normally reserved for selected events. Rockstar can increase or guarantee the chance of finding diamonds during those events.2
Approach Hard Mode
The Diamond Casino Heist has three approaches: Silent & Sneaky, The Big Con and Aggressive.3 You cannot use the same approach twice in a row. After completing a different approach, you can return to the earlier one on Hard Mode. For example, you can complete Aggressive, then Big Con, then return to Aggressive.
The approach you are repeating will have a red skull icon, as shown above, indicating that Hard Mode is active. The guards are stronger and more alert, there are six locks to destroy on the vault instead of four, and each fingerprint hack has two patterns instead of one.
Hard Mode increases the potential take by 10%. GTA BOOM has also completed Hard Mode runs with diamonds in the vault.
Avoid Damage
The headline payout is not guaranteed because taking damage while carrying loot reduces the take. In GTA BOOM's checks, each hit removes roughly 0.12% to 0.26% of the cash being carried at that moment, which often works out to about GTA$2,000 per shot.
For the best chance of protecting the take, choose either The Big Con or Silent & Sneaky. The Aggressive approach is direct and fast, but taking sustained fire can cost the crew a noticeable share of the loot.
Crew and Lester's Cuts
Your final payout also depends on Lester's 5% cut and the shares taken by your hacker, driver and gunman. See our Support Crew guide for Big Con recommendations.
The finale supports two to four players, who then divide the remaining take. In a two-player run, individual payouts commonly fall between GTA$400,000 and GTA$800,000 after support-crew costs, Lester's cut, damage and the agreed split. Use our guide to finding heist-mates if you need a crew.
Looting Diamonds
Diamonds were unavailable when Rockstar first released the Diamond Casino Heist content, then appeared during selected events. Rockstar continues to enable them temporarily and can guarantee them during a particular event period.2
On a repeat run, diamonds pay GTA$2,303,000 on Normal or GTA$2,533,300 on Hard before cuts and take loss. If diamonds are the target on the first Casino finale completed after the weekly reset, the values are GTA$4,283,580 on Normal or GTA$4,711,938 on Hard.
Vault Time
Maximising the time inside the vault is essential because every extra second can increase the final take.
The best available hackers are Paige Harris and Avi Schwartzman. Paige is available by default, takes a 9% cut and provides 3 minutes 15 seconds in the vault. Avi takes 10% and provides 3 minutes 30 seconds. In our experience, Avi's extra 15 seconds is usually worth the additional 1%.
Looting animations use part of the available vault time. During The Big Con and Silent & Sneaky, the crew must also leave before the timer expires to remain undetected. Avi's extra 15 seconds can therefore make the difference between clearing another tray and leaving loot behind.
Daily Cash Grab Secret Vault
The secret vault is on the ground floor beside the elevator. Its switch is inside the CCTV room next to the elevator. In GTA BOOM's completed runs, the room has contained roughly GTA$50,000 to GTA$100,000, with the exact amount changing from one heist to the next.
Taking the money also unlocks the Daily Cash Grab award and, in our current checks, adds 100 RP.
Current Maximum Take
The old GTA$3.619 million cap no longer applies after Title Update 1.73. A current run's maximum depends on the vault target, difficulty, and whether it is the host's first completed Casino Heist finale after the weekly reset. Use the tables above or GTA BOOM's Heist Earnings Calculator to work through your setup.
Gold Bar Glitch
A now-patched glitch once let players respawn gold bars by leaving one bar on a tray, backing out of the grabbing animation, and starting it again. It could only be triggered once per cart.
At the time, players reported displayed hauls of GTA$4 million to GTA$5 million. The cap that existed then still limited the amount actually paid. Both the glitch and that old GTA$3.619 million cap are now historical and do not describe current Casino Heist payouts.
