GTA BOOM's GTA Online Matchmaking is a browser-based tool designed to help players find others to play Grand Theft Auto Online with, without relying on Rockstar's built-in matchmaking. Instead of random lobbies or unreliable invites, the system lets players create or join sessions on the GTA BOOM website, coordinate with others, and then connect inside the game manually.

This tool does not interact with GTA Online directly. It acts as an external coordination layer, helping players meet first, confirm who is ready, and then launch activities normally inside the game.

The matchmaking system is primarily meant for activities that benefit from coordination. This includes heists, contact missions, business sales, grinding sessions, and other structured GTA Online content where having the right number of players matters. It is especially useful for players who want to avoid public lobby randomness and unreliable auto-fill teammates.

How GTA BOOM Matchmaking Works

All matchmaking happens on the GTA BOOM website - no other tools or apps needed. Players either create a session or join an existing one, based on platform and activity type (eg which specific heist or other thing they want to do). Once inside a session, players coordinate using preset statuses rather than open chat.

Invites are still sent inside GTA Online. The matchmaking system does not send invites for you. Instead, it helps players exchange the correct platform IDs and confirms when everyone is ready.

Because GTA Online does not support crossplay, sessions are platform-specific. Players must join sessions that match their platform in order to actually play together.

Logging In and Getting Started

To use the matchmaking system, players log in using Discord. This is used for identity verification and session management, not for chat or bots. Once logged in, players can immediately see active sessions or create their own. No additional downloads or plugins are required.

Click on the login button to get the option to login using Discord.

Invites and In-Game Connection

All actual gameplay connection happens inside GTA Online. On consoles, invites are typically sent through friends lists or recent players. If you have a players PlayStation or Xbox gamertag, you can easily add and invite each other to play together. Our tool helps connect players to do just that.

On PC, most hosts invite through Rockstar Social Club, sometimes after adding players as friends first to avoid invite bugs. If invites fail repeatedly, the most common fix is returning to Free Roam or restarting GTA Online.

Common Issues and How to Avoid Them

One of the most frequent problems is players joining the wrong platform session. Always confirm the platform before joining.

Another common issue in-game is players waiting inside missions, menus, or properties. This can block invites. Staying in Free Roam while waiting usually resolves the problem.

If a session appears inactive on the GTA BOOM site, it is often because the host stepped away or is stuck in-game. In those cases, it is usually faster to leave and join another session rather than waiting indefinitely.

Privacy and Safety Notes

GTA BOOM Matchmaking does not require personal information beyond what is needed to send invites. Players should only share platform IDs and nothing more.

Any request for sensitive information should be treated as suspicious. Players always retain control over who they add, invite, or play with.
