Corsair's CEO is predicting a 2026 PC release for GTA 6.

Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick already confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will come to PCs eventually, but he refused to give it a clear date, and there's a good reason for that: PC, as a platform, doesn't make Take-Two and Rockstar Games nearly as much money, especially at the time of a game's launch. That said, another executive has their own prediction about the port's release.

Zelnick's statement hasn't stopped others from speculating on when GTA 6 will be available to play on desktops. One such piece of speculation comes from a fellow high-level executive, Andy Paul. The Corsair CEO suggested in a recent earnings call that that GTA 6 could hit PC platforms in early 2026. Paul went on to say that he expects the console version to launch in fall 2025, followed by the PC release in early 2026.

However, it's important to note that Paul is not directly affiliated with Rockstar or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive. At best, Paul's statement is more of an educated guess than an actual confirmation. Besides, Rockstar has a history of staggered releases, typically launching their games on consoles first before bringing them to PC. So it isn't like his "theory" is off the mark by much.

Corsair stands to gain a lot from a PC release of GTA 6. As a peripheral and hardware manufacturer whose main market are PC gamers, Corsair's products, which includes everything from CPU cases, power supplies, and gaming accessories, will be in high demand. Fans will need to build powerful PCs if they want to get the most out of GTA 6 and play it at higher resolutions and frame rates, free from the speculated limitations of its console exclusive launch, even on a flagship console like the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Over the past few days, we're learning a lot about what other publishers and executives think about GTA 6. A former Blizzard president, for example, have suggested that other developers may adjust their release schedules to avoid direct competition with the juggernaut title, calling it the "king" of the video game industry. Meanwhile, Electronic Arts and Xbox are reportedly wary of announcing release dates of their upcoming games, preferring to avoid a head-on collission with GTA 6.

With Take-Two confirming that GTA 6 is coming out this fall and Borderlands 4's release date helping narrow its release window, it's only a matter of time before we get an exact release date for the game. By then, we'll be one step closer to getting a GTA 6 release date on the PC.
