What is the GTA 5 map?

GTA 5's map is based on Southern California in the United States and is known in the game as the state of San Andreas. The actual playable part of the map, seen below, is the southern part of San Andreas. The city of Los Santos comprises the southern end of the map and is based on the real-life city of Los Angeles.

What are the counties of San Andreas?

Blaine County is the name of the rural area at the north of the map with Los Santos County covering the lower two thirds.

Is the GTA 5 map the biggest?

The map in Grand Theft Auto 5 is larger than any other map in the entire Grand Theft Auto series, including GTA San Andreas. In fact, it is bigger than any map that Rockstar Games has ever made except for the map in their most recent game, Red Dead Redemption 2.

The GTA 5 map is 48.15km2. The map in GTA San Andreas is 31.55km2, GTA 4 is 8.06km2, GTA Vice City is 5.62km2, and GTA 3 is 4.38km2.
