Cheat Codes app privacy policy

This policy applies specifically to the Cheat Codes by GTABOOM app for iOS and Android. The app is designed to work without an account, ads, or behavioral tracking.

Optional account continuity

You can use every cheat-lookup feature without an account. If you choose Continue with Apple or Continue with Discord, GTABOOM processes your account email address and linked user ID, and stores only your Favorites and default game, platform, edition, input method, exact hardware target, and Voice Guide pace so those choices can stay consistent across your devices. This account data is used only for app functionality, is encrypted in transit, is not shared, and is not used for tracking or advertising.

Information stored on your device

The downloaded cheat catalog, cache, Recent activity, searches, Voice Guide activity, and account credentials remain on your device and are not included in account continuity. Favorites and app defaults also remain stored locally; they are copied to your GTABOOM account only when you choose to sign in. You can clear Favorites, Recent activity, and preferences in About & settings, or remove all local information by deleting the app or clearing its storage through device settings.

Information the app does not collect

The app has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or tracking SDK. It does not request your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health data, advertising identifier, or notification permission. We do not sell or share app-user information for advertising.

Network requests

The app connects to GTABOOM to download and refresh the public cheat catalog and, if you sign in, to authenticate and synchronize the limited account data described above. As with ordinary web requests, our hosting and security providers may temporarily process technical request information such as an IP address, timestamp, and user agent to deliver these services, prevent abuse, and diagnose service problems. The app does not use this information to create an advertising profile.

Retention and security

On-device app information remains until you clear it or delete the app. Optional account data remains until you remove individual Favorites, change your defaults, or delete your GTABOOM account. Limited operational request logs may be retained by our hosting and security providers under their standard security and reliability practices. We use reasonable safeguards and collect only what is needed to operate the catalog and optional continuity services.

Export and deletion

When signed in, About & settings lets you export a JSON copy of data linked to your GTABOOM account or permanently delete the account and synced data. Account deletion does not remove local cheat data from the device; use the app's data controls or device settings for that. The account page and account-deletion page provide the same export and deletion routes if you no longer have the app.

Independent reference app

Cheat Codes by GTABOOM is an unofficial, independently produced reference app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
