The Money Fronts update is bringing a new gameplay loop to balance illegal activities with legitimate operations to avoid law enforcement heat.

Los Santos just got a whole lot shadier. The much-awaited Grand Theft Auto Online update, Money Fronts, is finally here to transform players into Walter White-style criminal masterminds, complete with legitimate businesses that are anything but legitimate.

It's time to trade your ski masks for business suits and your getaway cars for delivery trucks. Like every successful criminal knows, the best way to hide dirty money is in plain sight.

Every criminal empire needs a puppet master, and GTA Online's newest power player is the mysterious Mr. Faber. Think of him as the underground CFO of San Andreas, orchestrating a vast network of money laundering operations from the shadows. Working alongside the familiar faces of Martin Madrazo and newcomer Raf De Angelis (your new contact), Faber has his eye on ambitious criminals ready to legitimize their ill-gotten gains.

The crown jewel of this update is the Hands On Car Wash, where players can literally wash their dirty money while washing cars. The car wash serves as your headquarters for money laundering operations, complete with a bedroom duffel bag to fill up with your freshly scrubbed criminal proceeds.

Beyond the meta car wash, the update also introduces multiple front businesses, each with their own specialized laundering operations. Smoke on the Water lets you boost your marijuana business profits, while Higgins Helitours gives your air freight operations a legitimate cover. This way, you can diversify your criminal portfolio while still keeping it professional.

What's interesting, though, is that the more you launder money, the more "Heat" you generate from law enforcement. Your businesses will start flashing warning signals on the map, forcing you to actually run legitimate operations to cool things down. Suddenly, you'll find yourself genuinely washing cars, delivering organic products, and conducting helicopter tours. Not because you have to, but because your criminal empire depends on it.

It's a really brilliant gameplay loop that makes players think like actual criminals. Too much illegal activity draws unwanted attention, so you need to balance your books with legitimate work. Who would have thought that money laundering could be so wholesome?

Fortunately, the update doesn't forget GTA's core appeal: awesome whips. The Överflöd Suzume supercar leads the pack and is now available early for GTA+ members. The Karin Woodlander SUV brings rustic vibes, while the Karin Everon RS SUV is specifically designed for players who want to be as obnoxious as possible.

Meanwhile, if you have an authority complex, the Western Police Bike lets you play out vigilante fantasies in Dispatch Work missions, complete with a Highway Patrol outfit.

Money Fronts is clearly a mature evolution for GTA Online. Instead of just robbing banks and stealing cars, players can now build sustainable criminal businesses with legitimate covers. It's organized crime for the modern age, where the real money isn't in the heist but the cleanup afterward.

With promises of more vehicles, Independence Day events, and even Halloween celebrations on the horizon, Rockstar Games is putting a lot of effort into ensuring you can grow your criminal business empire. Now, it's up to you to be smart enough to make it look legal.
