All GTA, all day, since 2012

The Los Santos Drug Wars is headed to GTA Online on December 13

The Los Santos Drug Wars is just one half of a larger content update planned for GTA Online.

No, your eyes do not deceive you. Rockstar Games is releasing a two-part story update for GTA Online that will prominently feature a growing psychedelic drug trade involving Trevor Philips' good friend, Nervous Ron, "wealthy hippies" and  "trigger-happy bikers."

After confirming a much larger update is headed to GTA Online, Rockstar has unveiled the Los Santos Drug Wars, which serves as the "opening chapter" for a much larger update. In this upcoming content drop, players will link up with Ron Jakowski, who's more commonly known as Nervous Ron.

Apparently, GTA 5's resident conspiracy theorist and the CEO of Trevor Philips Enterprises wants to get into a new lucrative venture. It's up to you then to help him and his group of people get a slice of Los Santos' psychedelic drug trade pie.

If you're up for it, you'll run the entire operation with Ron. But, make no mistake, this is serious business. As the new kid on the block, you'll have to stave off what Rockstar describes as a "coalition of wealthy hippies and trigger-happy bikers."

Given this is technically GTA Online's winter update, players should expect to see a handful of holiday-themed content dropping into the game in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until the next cheeky blog post to find out what else Rockstar has in store for GTA Online.

We wouldn't be surprised if Trevor Philips is somehow involved in Nervous Ron's latest business venture.

Rockstar has constantly fed GTA Online players a constant stream of weekly updates with a supplement of larger story expansions. The latest one, The Criminal Enterprise, was fairly committed to giving players opportunities to establish themselves as crime lords. This time around, Rockstar wants you to go Pablo Escobar in Los Santos and take over the city's psychedelic drug trade.

Hopefully, Rockstar can squeeze in the long-requested fast-travel feature in the next GTA Online update or two.
