GTA Online Heist: The Pacific Standard Job

A complete walkthrough for The Pacific Standard Job, the final original heist in GTA Online, covering setups, finale, payouts, and Elite Challenges.

This is our guide to The Pacific Standard Job, the fifth and final original heist in GTA Online. The heist is focused on robbing the main branch of the Pacific Standard Bank. All setup missions, the finale, payout details, and Elite Challenge requirements are covered.

  • Cost – $25,000
  • Total Payout – $750,000 (Easy), $1,500,000 (Normal), $1,875,000 (Hard)
  • Unlockables — Savage, Principe Lectro, and Gang Burrito Van.
  • Elite Challenges: — You finish in less than 10:15, NOOSE isn't called, and no player dies.

Mission #1: Vans

For the first setup mission, "Vans," the crew will operate in two teams, each comprising a Driver and a Navigator in separate cars. The Navigators must use their phones (Trackify app) to locate several Post OP vans. The crew will need pictures of all the vans' license plates. After which, Lester will identify which one contains the transponder and instruct the crew to steal that specific van. The crew must then steal it and drive it back to him at the garment factory.

Mission #2: Signal

In "Signal," the second setup mission, the crew must first take the transponder from the stolen van to an island off the east coast, where Avi Schwartzman is hiding.

Upon arrival, take out the police helicopter, then fight the police on the island to reach Avi. Once Avi is secured, take Avi to the indicated boat. The subsequent boat journey is a timed mission, requiring careful navigation. When you reach the lake (Lago Zancudo), head toward the center to shake off police interest, and then drive Avi to your goal location to complete the mission.

Mission #3: Hack

The third setup mission, "Hack," requires the crew to head to Vinewood as two teams: one Transporter and three Decoys. The objective is to find the white van (Burrito) belonging to a rival crew. Once located, take it to Vinewood Boulevard, where you'll fight a number of enemies.

Once the coast is clear, the Transporter player should grab the hacking equipment from the white van and return to the white van, which they will then drive. Meanwhile, the Decoys get into the black van (also a Burrito).

The Decoys must distract the enemies until the Transporter reaches the goal (Lester's garment factory). After the Transporter is safe, the Decoys must destroy the black van.

Mission #4: Convoy

For the fourth setup mission, "Convoy," the crew must first ambush a Merryweather convoy to steal a military truck. To achieve this, block the road with as many vehicles as you can. A Merryweather helicopter will come first, followed by the convoy. Make sure you don't destroy the target truck in the fighting.

Once the area is secured, two players should take the military truck, and the other two should take an Insurgent (provided at the ambush site). Head toward the drop-off point, defeat any enemies that remain, and take the truck to the goal.

Mission #5: Bikes

In the fifth setup mission, "Bikes," the crew must head to the Lost MC's clubhouse to steal four Lectro sports bikes. Engage and fight the Lost members at the clubhouse, but make sure you don't destroy the bikes in the process. After securing the bikes, steal the bikes and drive to the drop-off point, avoiding the Lost's roadblocks and fighting them along the way.

As you leave the clubhouse, the map will prompt a right turn. If players head straight instead, and then take the next right turn, this route will bypass the initial roadblocks.

Heist Finale: The Pacific Standard Job

For "The Pacific Standard Job" finale, the crew will split into three teams: one Hacker, one for Demolition, and two for Crowd Control. All players head to the bank and go inside. The Crowd Control players should kill the guards and keep everyone else intimidated by shooting nearby (without hitting hostages).

The other two (Hacker and Demolition) must go to the vault area.

The Demolition player should use thermite charges on the door at the back of the lobby and the next one at the top of the stairs. When that second door opens, one of the Crowd Control players needs to head to the back room to intimidate the tellers and kill any security that arrives.

Meanwhile, the Hacker should get through the next door (using their hacking skills), after which Demolitions will get through the next gate with another thermite charge. After that, they should grab the money and meet up with Crowd Control at the exit.

Only one player should take all the money. Any players with the stolen money will lose some when hit, and it is easier to defend one player than two. The player with the money should try to avoid combat.

A very challenging fight with the police awaits outside; you will fail if you try to stay in the bank for too long. Players must clear out a path and fight their way to the bikes. Alternative escape vehicles include a police car or a SWAT van if the alarm is sounded during the Heist.

Players might also want to drive the bikes or a car to the Vinewood Police Department to grab the helicopter on the roof. Once you have your vehicle of choice, do not follow the waypoints.

Instead, follow the left highway until you reach the cliff near the Cassidy Creek bridge, and then parachute (or drive, if the path is understood well enough) to the boat down below. Drive the boat to the goal to complete the final Heist. The player with the money should duck while in the boat to avoid losing any more cash.

Payout Distribution: The Pacific Standard Job

In the finale, as mentioned above, the bounty is carried out in duffle bags by heist members. Thing is, if anyone carrying a bag takes damage, they lose some of the cash.

As such, it is pretty difficult to get the full payout from the heist. There exists the Kuruma-method, wherein the nearby apartment can be used to acquire one of the member's armored vehicles with which it is possible to get almost all of the cash out. However, not every player is familiar with this.

A good tactic here is to have one player carry the whole take, lowering the chances of taking damage. Of course, the other members have to protect the carrier with everything they have.
