To use GTA 5 cheats on PlayStation ( PS5, PS4, PS3) and Xbox ( Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox 360) enter the codes using your controller, or by dialling the numbers listed into your in-game cellphone. For PC, you can either use the cellphone or type the codes into the game's console (bring that up with the tilde key: ~ on US keyboards, ¬ on UK keyboards). More info here.

Using any cheats in GTA 5 will disable Achievements and Trophies for the rest of your session, so always save your game before using them. To start earning rewards again you'll need to reload your last save — you can't just disable your cheats (by entering the same code again) and then carry on playing.

How do I enter cheats?: For consoles, use the controller button combos listed. For PC, type them into the console (~ key). For the phone method, dial the number in your contacts.
Do these work in GTA Online?: No. These cheats are for single-player story mode only. Using mods or cheats in GTA Online can result in a ban.
Will using cheats disable achievements/trophies?: Yes, for your current play session. To earn them again, you must reload a "clean" save from before you used cheats.

Expanded & Enhanced Cheats

These additional cheats only work in newer versions of GTA 5 (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC). Also, unlike all the other cheats above, you need to unlock each vehicle first by doing a random event, and only then can you spawn it with a phone cheat code.

Spawn Duke O'Death

Dial 1-999-3328-4227 (1-999-DEATHCAR)
Complete the "Duel" random event to unlock the Duke O'Death. You do this by first stealing the Duke located around the gas station near Route 68, close to the LSC garage. Then simply get rid of the enemies that will chase you.

Spawn Kraken Sub

Do the "Wildlife Photography Challenge" first to unlock the Kraken. You need to take pictures (using the Snapmatic) of all 20 different kinds of animals that exist in GTA 5.

Spawn Dodo Airplane

Dial 1-999-398-4628 (1-999-EXTINCT)
Complete the "Sea Plane" random event to unlock the Dodo by heading over to the area that is just to the East of the Alternate Farms (RON Winds). You'll find a mountainside cove there and can begin the event.

Director Mode

Director mode basically lets you direct the action in GTA 5 using a number of different characters, locations and other cheats.

Black Cell Phone

To use the cell phone method, bring out your phone (press UP, go to your contacts and press either SQUARE on PlayStation, X on Xbox, or SPACEBAR or MIDDLEMOUSEBUTTON on PC. The dialpad will popup. Then just enter in the number code for the cheat and press the same button again to dial/activate it.

How-to Disable GTA V Cheats

Frequently Asked Questions

Who made these GTA 5 cheats?: These cheat codes were included in the single player mode of the game by Rockstar Games themselves and are 100% legitimate. They will not get you banned or anything else — you are meant to use and enjoy them if you want.
Why can't I use my parachute after activating the Skyfall cheat code?: We don't know why you can't use your parachute (it's a known issue in the game), but to survive the landing you should try to land head first into the ground or a wall. As silly as it sounds, it's the only thing we have found that works.
