Do we need to buy the Penthouse to start the Cayo Perico Heist?
Although it states you need to buy the Casino Penthouse to start the Cayo Perico Heist, you do not actually need to do it. You can simply make your way to the Casino's north entrance and enter the new exclusive nightclub called the Music Locker via the Casino elevator.
This helps you save GTA$1.5 Million that can be easily spent on buying the submarine necessary to start the Cayo Perico heist. To start the main sequence, you must first speak with Miguel Madrazo, who is inside the Music Locker nightclub.
Enter the casino via the main entrance (northern entrance) and take a left towards the reception. Access the elevator, and you will get an option to go to the Music Locker.
You will need to pay a small fee of $150, but that's much better than spending up to a million just for the penthouse. Another thing to note here is that the overall entrance fee of $150 reduces depending on your outfit. The more expensive and brand-oriented your outfits are, the more the fee reduces.
Once inside the club, make your way to Miguel to talk to him and start an introductory cutscene to the Cayo Perico heist.
How to restart Cayo Perico Heist Prep?
To restart a Cayo Perico Heist prep mission, you have two options. First, you can leave the mission area, which will result in a mission failure. Once you return to the planning screen, you can start the prep again. Alternatively, you can call Pavel and request a new prep mission, which will replace the one you want to restart.
How to quit Cayo Perico Heist Prep?
To quit a Cayo Perico Heist prep mission, you can choose "Quit Job" through the Interaction Menu, leave the mission area, or simply close the game. Keep in mind that quitting a Cayo Perico Heist prep mission will result in a mission failure, and you may need to restart the prep mission from the beginning when you decide to attempt it again.

Yes, the Cayo Perico Heist allows you to complete the preparation missions as a team. You can invite your friends to join you or accept an invite and join their session. Working together with friends can make the prep missions easier and more enjoyable.

On average, the time required to complete the Cayo Perico Heist prep missions can range from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the number of players, their experience and skill level, the chosen approach, and the efficiency of the team. How to make Cayo Perico heist into hard mode?
To do the Cayo Perico heist in hard mode, you need to set the heist up within 48 minutes (in real time) after receiving the message from Pavel. Doing so will transition the heist from normal mode to hard mode.
What is the Cayo Perico heist (hard mode) cooldown?
After completing the Cayo Perico heist in hard mode, you must wait for 3 in-game days to pass before you can start another heist. This is equivalent to 144 minutes or 2 hours and 24 minutes in real-time. This new cooldown period was introduced with the GTA Online: Criminal Enterprise update. What is the Cayo Perico heist (hard mode) payout?
In the hard mode of the Cayo Perico heist you get a 10% bonus increase in the value of the primary target. This means that the payout for successfully completing the heist in hard mode will be higher compared to normal mode. We have a Payout Guide with full details.
Why do I keep getting detected as I am leaving the dungeon during the finale?
This is a common bug referred to as the "infinite vision cone" bug where one of the guards will have infinite vision range. So, no matter where you are on the map, you will get detected. If this happens. restart your heist. Unfortunately, there is no work around for this bug.
