Cfx.re just dropped Alchemist, a converter that handles the messy work of moving Grand Theft Auto V assets from Legacy to Enhanced. If you've been running a FiveM server or creating custom content, this tool basically solves the compatibility headache that comes with the Enhanced version of the game.
Here's what Alchemist actually does: Point it at a folder full of GTA V Legacy assets such as vehicles, maps, weapons, or whatever you've got, and it converts everything to work with GTA V Enhanced. The tool crawls through subfolders, finds all the 3D assets, converts them, and dumps the results in a target directory you choose. Your scripts, UI files, and config files get copied over untouched, so you're not starting from scratch.
The real convenience is for server owners. You can feed Alchemist your entire resources folder and get back a drop-in replacement that works with GTA V Enhanced. No manual file-by-file conversion needed.
There's also a refinement feature that addresses a specific problem. Over the last ten years, the modding community has built tons of tools for GTA V, but earlier versions of these tools sometimes created assets with formatting quirks or compatibility issues. Alchemist can take those older GTA V Legacy assets and fix them up to match what GTA V Legacy actually expects. When you convert Legacy to Enhanced, it applies these corrections automatically.
The tool is available now on the Cfx Portal and is just the first update in what Cfx.re is calling a series about Enhanced support, so more information is coming.
