Grand Theft Auto Online

The Benefactor Terrorbyte is a large, armored commercial vehicle manufactured by Benefactor in the Grand Theft Auto series, most notably introduced in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the After Hours update.

Overview / Description

The Benefactor Terrorbyte is portrayed as the ultimate operations truck for criminal masterminds, acting as a mobile headquarters for players engaged in various enterprises.

Its primary role is to provide a centralized platform for managing all player-owned businesses and launching specialized "Client Jobs" through its onboard touchscreen terminal.

Design and Appearance

Visually, the Terrorbyte is modeled after modern expedition trucks such as the Mercedes-Benz Zetros 6x61, blending rugged, utilitarian looks with high-tech flair.

Its exterior features a boxy, armored shell with reinforced panels, heavy-duty wheels, and Benefactor branding. The truck boasts a command center aesthetic, with antenna arrays and subtle lighting details.

Inside, the vehicle is fitted with a sophisticated dashboard, multi-screen control panels, and seating for up to four occupants. The interior is dominated by a large touchscreen terminal, drone control stations, and a vehicle workshop bay.

Performance

The Terrorbyte is known for its armored protection, versatility, and the ability to serve as a mobile vehicle workshop for select vehicles, notably the Oppressor Mk II.

While not designed for speed or agility, the Terrorbyte offers solid acceleration for its size, moderate top speed, and excellent durability due to its armored construction.

The Terrorbyte can reach the top speed of 87.50 mph (140.82 km/h). Since the Terrorbyte is classified as a special vehicle, it cannot be used in races

The vehicle's off-road capability is limited compared to true off-roaders, but it can traverse urban obstacles and withstand significant damage. Defensive features include strong resistance to small arms fire and explosives, making it suitable for high-risk missions.

Performance can be improved slightly with available upgrades, but its primary value lies in its utility and protection rather than raw driving performance.

The Terrorbyte has bulletproof windows from all sides. And it has exceptional explosive resistance as well. Players need to shoot 34 homing missiles or jet missiles before it can be destroyed. It takes 34 RPG shots, Grenades or Sticky Bombs to destroy it. And it takes 81 shots from a Heavy Sniper MK II explosive rounds to be destroyed.

Modifications / Customization

Customization of the Terrorbyte is performed exclusively at its onboard Vehicle Workshop.

Players can upgrade armor, engine, brakes, and add unique features such as the multi-lock missile launcher and drone station. Cosmetic options include resprays, wheel designs, and limited livery choices.

The Terrorbyte also enables the modification of certain other vehicles, such as the Oppressor Mk II within its workshop bay.

To fully upgrade the Terorrbyte, players need $256,000.

Acquisition / Locations

In GTA Online, the Terrorbyte can be purchased from the Warstock Cache & Carry website after owning a Nightclub property.

Once acquired, it is delivered to the player's Nightclub Garage and can be called in via the Interaction Menu.

The Terrorbyte cannot be sold in GTA Online as it is classified as a special vehicle.

Strategy and Usage

The Terrorbyte is best utilized as a mobile operations hub for high-level players focused on maximizing business profits and efficiency.

Its primary strengths are the ability to launch Client Jobs, manage all player businesses remotely, and provide a safe, armored environment for planning and executing missions. The onboard drone system is valuable for reconnaissance, hacking, and non-lethal takedowns.

The vehicle's durability makes it ideal for missions involving heavy enemy resistance or when transporting high-value cargo. However, its size and limited speed make it unsuitable for racing or rapid getaways.

For money-making purposes, its best to pair the Terrorbyte with the Oppressor Mk II for quick travel between objectives.

Notable Users / Special Variants

It is closely linked to Paige Harris, Lester's hacker contact, who provides the vehicle's advanced systems.

Mission-specific variants may appear in certain heist setups or story missions, such as those requiring players to steal hacking equipment from a Terrorbyte, as seen in the Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid Walkthrough|Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid.

These variants may feature unique mission equipment or locations but do not differ significantly in appearance from the standard model.

Grand Theft Auto Online

In GTA Online, the Terrorbyte is a critical asset for players managing multiple businesses. It unlocks six unique Client Jobs, which can be launched solo or with a crew for substantial payouts.

The vehicle's drone system, missile launcher, and remote business management capabilities set it apart from other utility vehicles like the Mobile Operations Center or Avenger. The Terrorbyte is also required for modifying the Oppressor Mk II, a popular vehicle for grinding missions.

During Benefactor Bonuses Hit GTA Online in Latest Weekly Offers|special Benefactor Bonuses Hit GTA Online in Latest Weekly Offer|events], the Terrorbyte and its upgrades often receive significant discounts, and related missions may offer triple GTA$ and RP rewards.

Trivia

  • The Terrorbyte is the only vehicle in GTA Online that allows players to manage all their businesses remotely from a single location.
  • The Terrorbyte must be stored in the player's Nightclub Garage and cannot be stored in standard personal garages.

Market Mover

When will GTA 6 pre-orders officially go live on the PlayStation Store?

Title IDs for GTA 6 just appeared in the PlayStation Store backend, the exact kind of infrastructure Sony needs before a pre-order page can go live. Rockstar hasn't said a word, but someone on their end pushed that data to Sony's systems, and the tracker who found it has a near-perfect record. With Take-Two's May earnings call needing real revenue projections to back up a $3 billion launch year, the financial clock is ticking louder than Rockstar's silence.
