Rockstar Games is on a roll these days. Instead of slowly moving away from Grand Theft Auto Online and focusing most of its efforts on Grand Theft Auto 6, GTA 5's now-standalone online component of the second-best-selling video game of all time is more popular than ever, and it's all thanks to its latest update.
Confirmed earlier this month, Rockstar released the Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode last week. It's safe to say that it's been a huge hit so far.
Offering GTA Online players their first legitimate chance at coming back to North Yankton, the latest gameplay mode to hit the game banked on nostalgia and the draw of being able to mow down wave after wave of zombies with your friends and other strangers online.
To sweeten the deal, Rockstar incentivized trying out the new mode, which it realized wasn't necessary at all as it had to adjust its target because of how popular the update was among fans almost immediately.
