By now you've hopefully had a chance to check out the multiplayer part of GTA V — Grand Theft Auto Online. Beyond "choosing" the looks of your online character (which is actually done based on heritage — something we'll cover later) you also need to choose what sort of lifestyle your character will lead. That's what we're talking about in this article.

Your lifestyle selection is pretty important because it will in turn affect what sort of skills your character has in the game (for example — good at driving and not so good at shooting). Lifestyle will also affect how you look, to an extent, and what sort of clothes you'll have access to.

How it works is that you basically have a rolling 24 hour window in which to spend time doing seven different activities (things like sports, partying, family-time, etc). What you choose to do will determine what skill-set you have, as set out in the table below. One thing though — you need to spend at least 4 hours in the sleeping slot every 24 hours. And don't worry, this will all make sense in-game.
