It's the spookiest day of the year and Rockstar is celebrating accordingly.
Returning Halloween content in Grand Theft Auto Online is joined by an all-new vehicle that some might very well call an abomination, as well as a new game mode involving aliens. There are also discounts and bonuses on offer, covering the "trick or treat" portion of this holiday.
The Western Rampant Rocket is several things in one. A trike, a chopper, a road safety nightmare and a new source for sex jokes, the Rampant Rocket is GTA Online's newest and strangest vehicle. It looks like it was frankensteined together from parts of a custom bike and a hot rod, and it hasn't quite made up its mind regarding which parent it wants to resemble more. This absurd and fantastic vehicle can be yours for GTA$ 925,000. Please have life insurance.
A weird trike isn't the full extent of the new content this week. The all-new Project 4808: Alien Survival Series is a set of seven missions that flip the tables and places you in the space-boots of the little green men. Play as an alien who needs to survive wave after wave of government forces hell-bent on dissecting you and your mates. The mode doles out double rewards this week!
Alongside Project 4808 a number of other spooky game modes - and there are plenty - are offering double rewards, including Slasher, Slashers, Lost vs. Damned, Condemned, Come Out to Play and Beast vs. Slasher. That's a lot of Slashers. All past Halloween content is on sale at a 35% discount and there are new Halloween items available in the Casino Store. There are also rumors of a new type of Peyote plant growing in the wilds.
A pair of shirts can also be yours for free - all you need to do is log into the game this week. Based on the two popular in-game arcade machines, the Choose Your Side and Invade & Persuade Hero t-shirts will make you the coolest gamer on the block. The free vehicle available from the Lucky Wheel is also in-theme this week, being the spooky LCC Sanctus bike.
Alongside the Halloween discounts, some regular items are also on sale. You can grab the Truffade Thrax, Annis S80RR, Obey 8F Drafter, Nagasaki Shotaro and Enus Paragon R at a 25% discount. The BF Ramp Buggy, JoBuilt Phantom Wedge and MTL Wasterlander are all 40% off.
