Do not expect to see a GTA IV remaster come out anytime soon

Before Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition came out, you could play GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas, all without problems on all modern platforms save for the Nintendo Switch.

For some reason, Rockstar Games had to mess this up with the GTA Remastered Trilogy.

Apparently, things got so bad that it scared Rockstar enough to cancel its plans to remaster GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption.

Take-Two Interactive recently revealed it had a massive slate of games planned to launch between now and 2025, but it appears that remasters of GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption won't be part of it.

Then again, the cancelation isn't bad news either. This just means that Rockstar Games is all in on GTA VI.

The best-case scenario here is that Rockstar will postpone its plans to remaster GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption until GTA VI is much further along in development.
