Speed Week Races Into GTA Online

Following Flight Week and Biker Week, this newest Grand Theft Auto Online event focuses on one of the game's largest subcultures - the racers.

Racing has always been a huge part of GTA and now players can enjoy a number of promotions tied to racing, as well as various discounts focusing on the fastest cars.

The simple racing formula of "get to the finish line first" can get old quite fast, and Rockstar has continually been coming up with new twists. With Stunt Races, they added some Hollywood flair, suspending tracks high up in the air, forcing racers to brave seemingly impossible jumps and adding a few loops for good measure.

Then, Transform Races ramped things up even further, this time having players control various types of vehicles through the course of each lap, hopping from the ground to mid-air to the water. The two concepts were combined, placing multi-vehicle Transform Races on the twists and turns of a Stunt Race track.

Both of these race types will be offering greater rewards this week. All Rockstar created Transform Races and Stunt Races - fans can make their own tracks with the Creator - will be paying out double RP and GTA$ through the 27th of March. You can quickly hop into these modes with the convenient playlists in the game.

Chances are you'll be spending your time with something else though, as one of the most lucrative activities just got even more profitable. Import/Export sell missions now award 50% more GTA$ this week. Check out our guide on how to make the most of this promotion. This week's Time Trial, "Up Chiliad", is also paying out double.

Once more players can unlock a limited issue in-game t-shirt for their characters simply by logging into GTA Online. Your wardrobe will be expanded with an orange The Toe Shoes logo shirt.

There's an enticing 40% discount on a selection of 6 high-end supercars designed with high-speed competitions in mind. Grab the Principe Deveste Eight, the Dewbauchee Vagner, the Grotti X80 Proto, the Pegassi Zentorno, the Överflöd Tyrant and the Pegassi Tezeract on the cheap.

You'll need plenty of space to store those new cars in, so Rockstar halved the price of the Executive Garages. For an Executive Garage, however, you need to have an Executive Office - so they halved the price of those as well. Finally, to complete the trifecta, the Executive Office Auto Shop upgrade is also 50% off.

Check back next week to learn more about the upcoming themed event.
