Microsoft Banning GTA V Leakers from Xbox Live

Grand Theft Auto V is officially out in the wild with several gamers having now posted leaked gameplay footage to websites like Vine and YouTube. Exactly how they got their hands on the game so early is not know – we’ve heard rumors of something “falling off the back of a truck” in Oakland but that’s about it.

All those leakers are now having their consoles banned though (at least on Xbox Live) meaning that they’ll need to purchase a brand new console just to be able to enjoy GTA Online. We would post a screenshot as evidence, but the video containing it has since been taken down – it looks like the leaker actually showed his Vine account password in one of his leaked videos – probably not the smartest move, and now his account Vine has been compromised.

Anyway, the moral of this story is don’t leak games! We’re waiting along with everyone else for the next four days to pass…
