Chances Are You Didn’t Win The GTA V Rockstar Editor Competition

Way back when the second part of the Ill-Gotten Gains DLC for GTA Online was released with the 1.27 and subsequent 1.28 updates, Rockstar announced a video competition. The competition required players to create a video using the Rockstar Editor, the sweet little game play capture and video editing software which shipped with the PC versions of GTA V, and show off their own personal ill-gotten gains that they’ve put their greedy hands on thanks to the two DLC packs.

Well, the results are in, and judging by the kinds of things people get up to using the Rockstar Editor when there isn’t a competition going on, we bet the judges had a pretty hard time picking who takes away the prize.

The lucky – or, should we say, skilled – player to take away the special Logitech gaming mouse and keyboard combo with their Social Club handle engraved, a $100 gift card to the Rockstar warehouse and an in-game GTA V goodies pack is none other than pimpedupbadass. The video that netted him this healthy dose of loot is the creation titled “WHAT ILL-GOTTEN GAINS IS ALL ABOUT”, perfectly fitting the competition’s description. Check out the winning vid below!

This video gives us a pretty accurate look at how GTA Online players acquired their luxurious doodads (at least partially). Some petty crime to start things off, all leading up to an epic heist leaving them with a boatload of money which they then blow on the mindboggling amounts of clothing options available in game and some ridiculously flashy cars.

There were some other pretty darn good runner ups, which Rockstar also brought attention to. These players also earned themselves a $100 gift card and some GTA V gear. Did you guys enter the competition? Do we have any of the winners among us?
