GTA V Meets... Friends

Another week, another marvelous GTA-ification of a popular television series made with the versatile Rockstar Editor. Once again, veritable video-smith, savior of the innocent and certified bad-ass Merfish has graced the world with one of his creations. Previously being responsible for the recreation of the Arthur opening and the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air opening in the GTA V engine, Merfish is well known in the Rockstar Editor community, and the GTA V community as a whole, for being a purveyor of some serious laughs. Creating his videos with great attention to authenticity and lacing them with a healthy (we say that with much irony) dose of GTA flavored violence to make things more interesting, Merfish truly is a master of his craft.

This time around, the show called Friends in up on the chopping block. Re-enacting the signature couch-in-front-of-fountain opening, several important characters from the GTA V story jump in to replace the actors from the show. Armed with colorful RPGs, the gang breaks out in some silly dance routine as the characters are introduced, and fountain-related shenanigans ensue. Let's just say that the video ends with a bang. As is the case with all other Rockstar Editor recreations, there are plenty of subtle GTA-style Easter eggs hidden in the video, so keep your eyes peeled.

The original show was an American sitcom that ran from 1994 to 2004 over 10 seasons, and was fairly popular in its time. The series follows a group of friends who live in New York City, and seemingly spend every hour of every day together. They also all happen to have just the right character traits to differentiate themselves from one-another because this is a TV show we're talking about, after all. The series ended over 11 years ago, but is still in syndication and is a staple of popular culture.

What do you think of this newest Rockstar Editor creation?
