GTA 5 (except Japan) is region-free, language details revealed

All versions of the Grand Theft Auto 5 (except the Japanese Xbox 360 version) will be region free, Rockstar has confirmed.

We already knew that the PS3 version would be region free (as are 99% of PlayStation 3 games), but it's good to know that both the NTSC (excl Japan) and PAL versions of GTA 5 on Xbox 360 will be region free too.

That said, Rockstar has still recommended that you purchase the version of the game meant for your country, in order to avoid potential downloadable content (DLC issues). These sorts of problems generally occur if you have, for example, a US (NTSC) game version, but a UK (PAL) PSN or Xbox Live account. Coincidentally, we revealed yesterday that DLC will be coming for GTA V (we just don't know what or when yet).
