GTA San Andreas Voice Actor, Charlie Murphy, Dies At 57

Charlie Murphy, the voice actor of a secondary character from GTA San Andreas and brother of famous actor Eddie Murphy, passed away at the age of 57 on the 12th of April. He had been battling Leukemia for a long time, and according to his manager it was this illness that caused him to pass away.

His appearance in the GTA franchise is restricted to 2004's San Andreas where he played a secondary antagonist, the San Fierro pimp Jizzy B. The character ran the Pleasure Dome brothel which he advertised on the radio as well.

CJ was tasked with acquiring his phone to learn the location of a deal going down with the Loco Syndicate. Naturally Jizzy wasn't about to merely hand over his phone, leading to a shootout and a high speed chase which resulted in the death of the pimp.

He did appear in a few other missions prior, but wasn't a major player in the game's storyline. Jizzy B. was characterized by an iconic purple suit, a custom Broadway called the "pimpmobile" with a license plate reading HO 2 HO and his memorable lines.

Say chump, get outta pimp's way

See I only got two eyes and in this world you got to have mo' than that. You gotta be like a fly on shit, you know? A hundred eyes everywhere!

Charlie Murhpy was the elder brother of Eddie Murphy, who is arguable better known globally for his acting stints. Nonetheless, Charlie Murphy was a defining character for several popular TV shows and had a sizeable fandom of his own. He starred in shows such as Chapelle's Show, and appeared in various other shows such as Hawaii Five-O and The Boondocks.

Charlie also did work as a writer, collaborating with his younger brother on the latter's appearances. He was also a fairly well know stand-up comedian, and is remembered by fans and fellow actors as an infinitely humourous and real person. He is survived by his three children.
