GTA Online DLC All About Cars, Free Money And Red Dead Redemption 2

This week's Grand Theft Auto Online event is so full of content that we had to look twice to make sure it wasn't a proper DLC release. Three new cars are just the start of it - three different free GTA$ opportunities, multiple ways to earn double rewards, log-in unlocks and a bunch of Red Dead Redemption 2 promotions are part of the line-up.

Rockstar is sticking to the trend of the past few DLCs, dedicating these weeks of drip-fed content to retroactively go through the library of existing vehicles in the game that players cannot own, give these models a brush over and make them available for purchase. This week three of these old-new cars make their debut.

They are the Karin Futo, the Imponte Ruiner and the Bollokan Prairie. Of the three, the Ruiner will likely have the widest appeal, though all have value to collectors. The Futo, in particular, is a fan favorite among enthusiasts and the low price of GTA$9,000 is bound to make it popular. The Ruiner costs $10,000 and the Prairie costs GTA$ 25,000. All three, alongside the Maibatsu Penumbra, the Declasse Mamba and the Invetero Coquette Classic have gotten new liveries with this update.

Login rewards are more substantial this week than an odd shirt with the logo of an in-game company. Players who drop into GTA Online through the 15th of October will get a Green Wireframe Bodysuit as well as GTA$300,000. The free cash is welcome, but that is not all.

With the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 drawing near - just 16 days to go - Rockstar is doubling down on publicity and using GTA Online as a vehicle for that. The two cross-promotions, one for the gold-plated revolver and the other for the stone hatchet, are granting players additional rewards. If you have already complete these scavenger hunts, you'll receive a free GTA$250,000. If you haven't, then completing them now will grant you that same 250,000 as well as an additional 250,000 next week.

We're already at GTA$ 800,000 in potential free money here. One more way of getting bonus cash is having pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption 2 digitally. If you have already, or will before the 15th, you'll get a bonus of GTA$ 1,000,000. That adds up to a total of almost GTA$ 2 million in free cash you can earn this week.

Add to that the double rewards promotions and you can get even over 2 million with barely any effort at all. All four Remix Adversary Modes dish out double rewards this week (though, realistically, most people will still only play Sumo) letting you rack up even more cash and RP. Nightclub income is also doubled, which doesn't add up to much, but it's passive income at least.

Discounts are also plenty and deep this week. The Dinka Jester Classic, the Ocelot Swinger, the Vapid Dominator GTX, the Overflod Autarch and the Ocelot Pariah are all 30% off while the Festival Bus is 25% off. Executive and 10-car garages are both 35% off considering you'll need the extra slots with all these new cars coming out. Nightclub add-ons and renovations, as well as After Hours Clothing is 25% off. The main attraction, however, is a catalog-wide 35% discount on everything sold by Elitás.
